The MST Applet Viewer for Java is a web-based Java application. The viewer is a Java applet and the server component is Java application deployed with an application server such as Apache Tomcat, IBM WebSphere, OracleGlassfish, Red Hat JBoss, and others. The document is decoded on the server and requested pages are streamed back to the Java applet as JPEG images. Functions such as zooming, rotation, image filters are executed on the workstation without sending a request to the server.
